Whats new in Wircd 2000?

Such features in Wircd 2000 have been made to get the most out of Windows and your Computer. However this did take some time, it perfecting the source code to use windows to its fullest. The major difference you will notice is the speed of connect and running Wircd 2000. This is because of the re-programmer kernel to suit Windows and NOT Unix.

The new commands and options in Wircd 2000 include: /SVSHOST, /MAP, /SADMIN, /SVSNICK, /SAQUIT, /X, /GLINE, /HTM, /ADDLINE, /FREEZE, /SAQUIT, etc… , NEW User modes and Channel Modes, like the Half Channel (+h) and the waited new Graphical User Interface (GUI). After the initial command was coded, it went though the screening to find out how to make it better for Window and to make it more user friendly.

Some of the new User and Channel modes include: The Root Access Admin, Network Admin, IRCD Coder, The Rebel, the Mean Arse, the Hostname/IP Masking User mode, Admin only Channel modes, No Invite Channel, No Channel Colors, Half Channel Operator, etc..

Even the existing commands have been re-coded to allow better handling and performance under Windows, with such changes and better sockets, a better way of handling clients connecting and quitting and even to the extent of re-programming the Wircd core to allow Wircd 2000 to interact with Windows much more than it used to do, as it was a *nix program that had a different way of handling the IRCD core. A prime example of this would be the /OPER command, as now it will read your Operator Line and set you the user modes automatically, meaning you don’t have to set any modes yourself in order to become a Administrator, Services Administrator, etc..

Also Wircd 2000 now goes down into the System Tray (next to the Clock) to keep it out of the way and to take up less room on your screen. Just Double Click on it, and there it is for you.

There are many more features and command in Wircd 2000 that have not been listed here, in order to get a complete list, please download Wircd 2000 Beta version in the download section of this site.
